1. Who we are and what these terms cover

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Irrigation Plus (“Irrigation Plus,” “we,” “us”), a sole proprietorship registered in the State of North Carolina, mailing address P.O. Box 235, Richlands, NC 28574. They apply to our website, to any quote we give you, and to any irrigation work we perform for you. By requesting a quote, scheduling work, or using this website, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your information and is part of this agreement.

2. The services we provide

Irrigation Plus installs, repairs, and maintains residential and light-commercial lawn irrigation systems in Wilmington and the surrounding Cape Fear region. Our services include new system design and installation, repairs, seasonal maintenance plans, spring startup, winterization, and backflow preventer repair and replacement.

Every job is different. The specific work we agree to perform for you, and its price, is set out in the written quote we give you before work begins. Anything not listed in that quote is not included.

3. Free estimates, quotes, and pricing

On-site estimates are free and carry no obligation. We inspect your system, test zones where possible, and give you a written price before any work starts. If you decline, you owe nothing.

Quoted prices are fixed for the work described in the quote. The price only changes if you ask us to do additional work or if we uncover a condition that was not visible during the estimate, such as a buried break in a line we were not hired to inspect. In either case we will explain what we found, tell you the added cost, and get your approval before doing anything beyond the original scope. Quotes are valid for 30 days.

4. Scheduling, access, and your property

  • We schedule work in a time window and do our best to keep it. If we are running behind, we will call you.
  • You agree to give us safe access to the property, the irrigation controller, and the water supply during scheduled work, and to secure pets.
  • Before digging we contact NC 811 to have public utilities marked. Private lines that are not recorded with 811 — for example, low-voltage lighting, invisible fences, private gas or drainage lines — are your responsibility to identify. We are not liable for damage to unmarked private lines we could not reasonably have known about.
  • Installation and repair involve digging. We restore disturbed areas and remove our debris, but some settling of soil and regrowth of turf is normal and is not a defect.

5. Payment

Payment is due when the work is complete unless we agree otherwise in writing. Larger installations may require a deposit, which will be stated in your quote. We accept the payment methods listed on your invoice. Unpaid balances more than 30 days past due may be subject to a late charge and collection costs as allowed by North Carolina law.

6. The “Watch It Work Before You Pay” guarantee

Before we accept final payment on a repair or installation, we run the zones we worked on with you present. If a component we installed or repaired is not doing its job at that demonstration, we correct it at no additional charge. If we are unable to make it work, you do not pay for that specific repair.

The guarantee covers the work in your quote. It does not cover pre-existing problems outside that scope, conditions caused by water supply issues, or damage that occurs after the demonstration.

7. One-year workmanship and parts warranty

Parts we supply and work we perform are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for one year from the date of completion. If a warranted part or repair fails during that period under normal use, we will repair or replace it at no charge.

The warranty does not cover: damage from freezing where winterization was declined or performed by someone else; damage caused by digging, construction, vehicles, landscaping, pets, or vandalism; problems caused by changes to your water supply or pressure; wear on components we did not install; or work altered by anyone other than Irrigation Plus. Manufacturer warranties on equipment pass through to you where available.

8. Winterization and freeze damage

Wilmington gets hard freezes most winters. We recommend a fall blowout of every system we service. If you decline winterization, or schedule it after the first freeze, freeze damage to your lines and components is excluded from our warranty and guarantee.

9. Backflow preventers

We repair and replace backflow prevention assemblies. We do not perform backflow certification testing. Annual certification testing must be performed by a tester certified by the State of North Carolina, and it is your responsibility to arrange that test and submit results to your water utility. If your assembly fails its test, we can repair or replace it so it is able to pass; the retest is performed by your certified tester.

10. Using this website

You may use this website to learn about our services and to request a quote. You agree not to submit false information, interfere with the site, or use it for any unlawful purpose. All content on the site, including text, graphics, and the Irrigation Plus logo, belongs to Irrigation Plus and may not be reused without permission. Information you submit through the site is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Text messaging (SMS) terms

Program name and description. Irrigation Plus offers two text messaging programs, and you can agree to either, both, or neither:

  • Service messages — non-marketing texts about your quote request, appointment scheduling and reminders, arrival updates, and service follow-up.
  • Marketing messages — texts about seasonal specials, maintenance reminders, and service offers from Irrigation Plus.

How you opt in. You consent to a program by checking its box on our quote form, or by texting us first at the number we publish. Consent is never required to request a quote or to purchase any service. Providing a phone number on its own does not enroll you in either program.

Message frequency. Message frequency varies. Service messages are sent as needed for your request or appointment. Marketing messages are typically sent no more than four times per month.

Cost. Message and data rates may apply. Charges are billed by your wireless carrier according to your plan.

How to opt out. You can cancel either program at any time. Reply STOP to any message from us and you will receive a one-time confirmation that you have been unsubscribed, after which we will not send you further messages from that program. You can also email [email protected] or call 910.530.4560 to be removed.

How to rejoin. If you opt out and later want messages again, check the box on our quote form again or text us at our published number.

Help. Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or contact us at [email protected] or 910.530.4560.

Carriers. Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Messages are supported by major U.S. carriers; availability may vary by carrier.

Your privacy. How we collect, use, and protect your phone number and consent records is described in our Privacy Policy. We do not share your mobile number or opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes.

Compliance. Our messaging programs are operated in accordance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), the CTIA Messaging Principles and Best Practices, and applicable carrier requirements.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Irrigation Plus is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost plants or turf from causes outside our control, water bills, or damage arising from conditions we were not hired to address. Our total liability for any claim relating to our work is limited to the amount you paid us for that work. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under North Carolina law.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina. Any dispute that we cannot resolve by talking it through will be brought in the state courts located in New Hanover County, North Carolina.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page tells you when they last changed. Work already quoted or in progress is governed by the Terms in effect when you accepted the quote.
