This Privacy Policy explains how Irrigation Plus (“Irrigation Plus,” “we,” “us”), a sole proprietorship registered in the State of North Carolina, mailing address P.O. Box 235, Richlands, NC 28574, collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you visit our website, request a quote, or become a customer. It also explains your choices, including how to stop text messages. This policy is part of our Terms of Service.
The short version: we collect what we need to give you a quote and do the work, we use it for that, we don’t sell it, and we never hand your phone number to anyone else for their marketing.
2. What we collect
Information you give us
- Quote form: your name, phone number, email address, property address, the service you need, and anything you write in the message field.
- Consent records: which text messaging boxes you checked, the exact wording you agreed to, the date and time, and the page you submitted from.
- Communications: the content of calls, texts, and emails you exchange with us, and notes we make about your system and the work performed.
- Payment information when you pay for services. Card details are processed by our payment provider and are not stored on our systems.
Information collected automatically
- Standard website logs and analytics: IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, and how you arrived at the site. We use this to keep the site working and to understand how it’s used.
3. How we use your information
- To respond to your quote request, schedule and perform work, and follow up on completed jobs.
- To send you text messages you have opted in to (see section 4).
- To send invoices, receipts, warranty information, and seasonal service reminders.
- To improve our website and services.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
4. Text messaging (SMS) and mobile information
If you provide your phone number and check a text messaging consent box on our quote form, or text us first, we will send you text messages for the program you chose:
- Service messages (non-marketing): quote follow-up, appointment scheduling and reminders, arrival updates, and service follow-up.
- Marketing messages: seasonal specials, maintenance reminders, and service offers.
Consent to receive text messages is never a condition of requesting a quote or purchasing any service. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, and get help by replying HELP. Full program terms are in the Text messaging section of our Terms of Service.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
We keep a record of your consent (what you agreed to, when, and from where) for as long as you are opted in and for a reasonable period afterward, so we can demonstrate that messages were sent with your permission.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:
- Service providers who help us operate the business and who are permitted to use your information only to provide services to us: our customer relationship and messaging platform (which delivers the texts and emails we send you), payment processing, website hosting, and scheduling tools.
- Subcontractors who assist with customer service or with performing work on your property, limited to what they need for that job.
- Legal requirements: if required by law, subpoena, or to protect our rights, property, or safety.
- Business transfer: if Irrigation Plus is sold or merged, your information may transfer to the new owner under this same policy.
For clarity, the sharing above does not include your text messaging opt-in data or consent, which is handled as described in section 4.
6. How long we keep it
We keep customer records for as long as needed to provide services, honor warranties, meet tax and legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Quote requests that don’t become jobs are kept for a reasonable period so we can follow up if you contact us again, then deleted.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information, including secure hosted platforms with access limited to people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your choices and rights
- Text messages: reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe from that program, or contact us using the details below.
- Email: use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or contact us.
- Access, correction, deletion: email [email protected] and we will help you review, update, or delete the information we hold about you, subject to records we are required to keep.
9. Children
Our services and website are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
10. Links to other sites
Our website may link to other sites, such as review platforms or manufacturer pages. Their privacy practices are their own, and this policy does not apply to them.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top tells you when it last changed. If we make a material change to how we use text messaging consent, we will notify opted-in contacts by text or email.
